We at WorkNomads are looking for a motivated HVAC Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to creating efficient, sustainable, and comfortable indoor environments for our client. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for various projects.

We are recruiting an HVAC Design Engineer to join our hybrid team coming occasionally to WorkNomads’ homebase in Sofia or Varna, Bulgaria.

 

Dare to have a mission:


• Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, and engineer HVAC systems for industrial buildings. This includes performing load calculations, selecting equipment, sizing ductwork and piping systems, and developing system layouts.

• Conduct detailed technical analysis and simulations to evaluate HVAC system performance, energy efficiency, and indoor air quality. Recommend design improvements and optimization strategies based on analysis results.

• Ensure HVAC designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations. Stay updated with industry advancements and evolving codes to ensure adherence and incorporate best practices.

• Prepare accurate and detailed technical documentation, drawings, and specifications for HVAC systems. Coordinate with drafting and documentation teams to ensure deliverables are completed within project timelines.

• Assist in project management activities, including cost estimation, material selection, and project scheduling. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure effective coordination and timely project completion.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within overall building design.
 

The tools in your backpack:


• Bachelor's degree in HVAC Engineering or relevant experience.

• At least 5 years of recent experience in industrial HVAC design engineering.

• 10 years of experience (including above) in industrial engineering.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design principles, load calculations, and equipment selection.

• Proficiency in HVAC design software and tools.

• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

• Experience with HVAC system analysis and simulation software.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
